Seaside is Oregon’s first beach resort community and one of the most famous all-year family

spots on the Oregon Coast. Seaside is a walkable, bikeable, adorable seashore town with

plenty to see and do. It is overflowing with shops and places to eat, miles of sandy seashores, and a fabulous promenade. Also, plenty of space for kayaking, climbing, razor clamming and kite flying by yourself.

Seaside has been a mainstream waterfront destination since the 1880s offering abundant activities for families, tourists, and open-air recreation lovers. The Promenade provides access to the seashore and long time attractions, including the Seaside Aquarium.

Things to Do

The top attractions to visit in Seaside are the Promenade and Turnaround, Ecola State Park, and nearby Tillamook Rock Lighthouse. Other popular spots include the Seaside Aquarium and the Seaside Carousel Mall.

By The Sea Gifts, Cotton Club, Gandalf’s, and the Gilbert District Gallery are just a few of the fun places to check out.

Nightlife in Seaside

A few guests come to Seaside for the seashore, some for the attractions. Others are here for an occasion. Visitors and residents look for music or possibly a chance to move the night away, and Seaside offers a few opportunities to do just that! People can spend their evenings at McMenamins Gearhart Hotel, and Sand Trap Pub in Gearhart, only a couple of miles north of Seaside.
